This is something I believe in! I rarely take photos when I'm on vacation. I certainly don't have any photo of myself taken. (In the past decade, I've appeared in, maybe, all of 5 photos. All were obligatory, not voluntary. Such as passport photos. XP ) I don't want to spend my time looking at everything through the lens of my camera when I'm on holiday in a foreign country. I prefer to bask in the moment with all of my senses elderly though they may be. 8)

Houzuki-san (Houzuki no Reitetsu) is just like me! I do work/errands/stuff to get it out of the way as soon as I can, which means I'm completely incapable of procrastination. Yeah. I drive myself crazy like that. XD

Isn't Teppei (Kuroko no Basuke) a sweetheart? He's a complete romantic. I have over 70 miis on my island. Teppei counts as a favorite. Not just because he's been in my game since Day 1 but because, to me, he has a very definite, distinctive personality that sets him apart. He rarely has problems, isn't the type to lose things, and is a very sentimental person. When my self-mii initiated the divorce, poor Teppei was heart-broken. But he did not become a bitter man. To him, there were "good memories". Now, he's utterly happy with Niizuma (Bakuman). Teppei is deeply loyal to family. The few times I've had to send him and Niizuma on vacation, it was because Niizuma was having second thoughts. In both his marriage to my self-mii and to Niizuma, Teppei always regarded his significant other as a "soulmate" and never wavered. It's so easy to fall in love with him because he's such a reliable, nice guy. Wow. I wrote an essay. 8P

I listened, of course. You don't say no to a guy who's really, really, really good with a katana. ;D

What my miis have to say about relationships is such food for thought. But life's like that. It's all bittersweet. I like these unexpected, brief moments of sobriety in my crazy game.

It's surreal whenever one of my islanders makes a comment which alludes to the fact that they somehow know they're in a game I'm playing. The last time it happened, I had a really bad scare. XD

Today, Sanzo (Saiyuki) tugged at my heartstrings when he said what he did about his son, who is all grown up and living in his own apartment on the island. I can empathize because my own son is already living in the university hostel, and I do miss him and look forward to when he comes home for the weekend.

I moved Damian into his new apartment, gave him new clothes and food, and when I clicked on his thought bubble for the very first time, this is what he said! *feels warm and fuzzy all over*

His dad is Sendo (Slam Dunk). Later, I spotted Sendo playing video games with his son. So sweet!

To the writers who worked on Tomodachi Life, I want to say this: "Well done! And thank you!" I love how some of the things my miis say really strike a chord with me. I know a lot of other players grew tired of this game very quickly but, 6 months in, I'm still finding new, rare gems in the miis' conversations. (Skinny's my self-sim, so I feel as if this little—and lovely—piece of advice is directed at me. 8D )
